Your Free WhatsApp AI Agent Template + Quick Guide

Hi there 👋,

As promised, attached is the JSON file template for the WhatsApp AI Agent built in N8N we discussed in my recent YouTube video.

This workflow enables you to create an AI-powered WhatsApp agent capable of:

• Handling both text and voice messages.

• Retrieving relevant information from a Supabase vector database.

• Providing context-aware, natural responses to customer queries.

How It Works:

1. Building the Knowledge Base
   Your AI Agent starts by connecting to your Supabase database. It pulls in files from Google Drive and organizes them into smaller, searchable chunks. This makes it easy for the agent to find the right information when it’s needed.

2. Text and Voice Handling:
   Whenever someone sends a WhatsApp message, the AI Agent jumps into action. If it’s a voice message, it uses Google’s Gemini API to turn it into text.

3. Smart, AI-Powered Replies:
   The AI Agent uses OpenAI to search through your database and find the most relevant answers. It then generates clear, helpful responses, keeping the entire conversation context in mind.

4. Responding Directly on WhatsApp
   Finally, your AI Agent sends its reply back to the user directly in WhatsApp, creating a seamless and professional experience.

Getting Started:

1. If you already have an N8N account, log in. If not, you can create one here N8N.

   If you'd prefer to self-host N8N, check out this guide for step-by-step instructions.

2. Import the Workflow JSON File:

   • Download the JSON file attached below.

   • In N8N, click the three dots in the top-right corner of the editor.

   • Select "Import from file" and upload the JSON file you just downloaded.

   

3. Some nodes in the workflow require credentials (e.g., for connecting to WhatsApp, Google Drive, or Supabase). Simply add your credentials where needed.

4. Customize the Workflow:

   Tailor the workflow to fit your business or client needs.

5. Save and Test:
   After customizing, save the workflow and run a test to ensure everything is working as expected.
